The Smith Premier 1

The information about dismantling the SP1 is based largely on the experience and expertise of Ray Thomas. This project would not be the same without his help. The photo on the right shows Ray's own SP1. I'll try to take my own machine just as far.
Before we start, pllease note that all experts agree that this is as far as an operation on the SP1 will go.
Never, ever unscrew the keyboard. It'll make a big fall, and all the king's horses…
